How others use WWYD to embed learning
Metro Shipping faced several issues, including staff turnover, lack of attention to detail and people feeling unsupported, so they created a management development programme to address these issues.
They looked for something that would bring practical exercises to life – specifically, to enable their people to practice their learning in a safe space. So, they turned to WWYD to use situational learning and gamification elements to create a space where they could safely test and explore their learning against relevant scenarios.
As a result, they have embedded WWYD into their management development programme, using it weekly. Players track their scores over time, leading to friendly competition, fun and engagement. For Colin Smith, the owner of the management programme, “it does exactly what it says on the tin.”
